News: So, We Won't be Waving Goodbye to Friend Codes

Friend Codes, nobody loves them and everybody hates them! They're those long numbers that hold together the online infrastructure of the Wii, 3DS and DSi. And guess what! They on their way to Wii U aswell.

Everybody thought that the Wii U's Nintendo Network would see an end to those horrible numbers and we would be treated to something a little more 'up to date'. But Reggie has assured fans that the Wii U's friend codes will be me simpler and easier to use.
There are friend codes, but it's not the existing friend code system, What do I mean by that? Here's what I mean: you will be able to identify people as friends and have a certain level of interaction vs. a different level of interaction for the more general population. The method by which you identify someone as a friend is a lot simpler than what's happening today with Friend Codes.
Are you upset that we won't be seeing an end to those friend codes? Or are you happy to continue swapping those codes with your friends? Let us know...
