The western release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is just about two weeks away.  To celebrate the release three large communities have organized a Cross-Community Event.

Members of Capcom's Unity Forum, Gamefaqs, and Club1kJho will be celebrating the release of the title by hunting online together. 

UPDATE: The Cross Community hunt will take place at Recruiting 2 Lobby 5!

Capcom's hope is that Monster Hunter will finally start to find a foothold in the Western territories and enjoy the popularity that it does in Japan.  Meeting new friends and getting together with old ones is a great way to kick off the release.

It would seem that fans of the game are taking their cues from Capcom, which recently announced they would be merging the NA and EU servers so players in those regions can hunt together.  Members of these communities have caught the "togetherness" bug and want to do what they can to build and grow that online experience of the game.
